Classic Camembert is our version of the world-renowned (usually sheep-milk) cheese with one teeny difference: we make from with goat’s milk! With a light, velvety skin and a creamy body this rich, reality-dissolving cheese was selected by the Washington Post as a Favorite Farmer’s Market Find in 2016. People often relate Camembert to Brie, and for good reason! The processes and the cultures used are similar but Camembert is made with whole milk whereas Brie is made with extra (usually double or triple) added cream. The resulting cheese has a bolder intensity of flavor and a tendency to become more-runny when aged. On top the already-intricate flavors of Camembert, using goat milk imbues this disk of delight with even more complexity! Enjoy it in all its gooey goodness alone in a cheese course, spread on a crusty bread, as a dip for vegetables or fruit, or baked into a loaf for the perfect quick party hors d’oevre. $8-$14
