Cajeta, A Goat’s Milk Caramel

Sorry to get your hopes up, we only offer Cajeta starting in Autumn and usually through the new year. This has become a fall tradition for us, warming our hearts (and our creamery) as the thick sauce simmers slowly spreading sweet cinnamon and caramel fumes up and down the block. We let goat’s milk, brown sugar, natural vanilla extract, and loads of cinnamon bubble away for two days, to produce a rich, gooey, flavorful treat that rivals the finest caramel and dulce de leche sauces. We water bath can our cajeta in mason jars which makes it shelf-stable and a lot easier to share and ship as a gift.
