Cajeta – A Goat Milk Caramel
Available in the final trimester of the year, this traditional Mexican style caramel is a treat not to be missed. Made with goat milk, brown sugar, loads of ground cinnamon and pure vanilla extract we reduce this down over the course of 25 hrs or so to a thickened caramel sauce. Delicious over ice cream, as an apple or pear dip or drizzled over apple pie. YUM. We can the sauce in half pint mason jars so it is shelf stable. What a great hostess gift or unique stocking stuffer for your foodie.
