Charles Town Farmers Market will be opening for the 2015 season mid April.  We look forward to seeing familiar faces and to meet lots of new folks out supporting the local food movement.  Market hours are each Saturday from 8am to noon.  What a great community event this market is!  If you haven't made it, you really need to come and see what its all about.  Be sure to stay for the live music that begins at 10AM.

Shepherdstown Farmer's Market will be resuming Sunday April 12.  We feel fortunate to be participating in this well established and community supported market.  How fun to share our cheese and tell our story to so many and to be welcomed so enthusiastically.  We always look forward to being at this market each Sunday from 9-1 through Christmas!

Freight Station Market has been open year round, but Shepherds Whey will be back March 14 with the first cheese of the season.  Winter hours continue through April so you will find us there from 10am to 1pm each Saturday.  Once summer hours resume we will be there 8am to 1pm. The market is located in the Old Town section of Winchester on Boscowan, and is well supported by the local community.  Please stop by and see all the great products your local farmers are offering.

Leesburg Farmer's Market is currently in their "Winter" season meeting each Saturday from 9-noon in the Virginia Village Shopping Center in Leesburg.  We will be rejoining the market March 14.  Starting in May we hope to be participating in their main market which runs May to October from 8-noon.

Foggy Bottom Market is a Wednesday evening market held on the Campus of George Washington University at the entrance to the Foggy Bottom Metro Station. Hours are 3-7pm.  We are also hoping to participate in their CSA this coming season, contributing a cheese to the basket of goodies participants receive each week.  Information about the CSA can be found at the Fresh Farm Market website.

Great Falls Farmers Market:  We are excited to add this community market to our lineup for this coming season.  This market is a year round market and we hope to join them starting March 14th.  Once we pick up Charles Town in April we plan to reduce our attendance to every other week alternating with Freight Station.  Once Charles Town concludes for the season, if all goes well, we will increase attendance back to a weekly participation.

We are planning to emphasize growing our restaurant clientele this coming year.  Several local restaurants have asked for our cheese, and that was the main catalyst for the growth of our herd this year.  We hope to have our cheeses served at the Bavarian Inn, The Press Room, Mellow Moods, Domestics and Devonshire and Murphy's in Shepherdstown, The Dish in Charles Town, Canal House in Harper's Ferry, One Block West in Winchester, Panorama at the Peak in Berkeley Springs and the new Brew Pub in Shepherdstown that is scheduled to open any time now.

And as always, our products are available at our creamery at Suave Groundhog Farm located at 825 Jenny Wren Drive, Martinsburg - on the corner of Shepherdstown Rd/route 45 just outside Martinsburg city limit, as you head toward Shepherdstown.  Stop by when you are in the area - best to call first to make sure we are there.  We're happy to introduce you to the goats and let you peek in on our cheese making in progress, but please call ahead if you want a more detailed tour or to arrange a cheese tasting.
